Document Conversion
End-users, librarians, are persistent in their demand for primary publishers to publish scholarly content in electronic form. Keep this in mind, Tech-Net offers customer’s cost-effective solutions for the repurposing and archiving of data.
Converting the hard-copy books/documents into digital, editable text is easy by using a combination of OCR (optical character recognition) software and keying-in techniques. Using hardware and software, the hard-copy manuscripts are converted into a format of MS Word, TXT, RTF, etc.
We can do re-print/archive without any alterations, we can scan at high resolution and provide the output in a format ready-to-publish. We are rectifying `crooked' pages to perfect ones and cleaning-up the scanned pages, removing any dust specks. In other words, we
• Scan the original manuscript
• Retrieve the text matter of scanned material using OCR software
• Clean the text
• Touch-up the images, if present
• Arrange the text and images in the template
• High-quality images scan separately for higher quality
• Format the pages |
This procedure yields a high accuracy output, and is generally used for reprints and archiving projects for journal back issues. |
